The Great Flood

The Great Commission

And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh; for the earth is filled with violence through them; behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above; and set the door of the ark in its side; make it with lower, second, and third decks.

For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall die. But I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you, to keep them alive. Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up; and it shall serve as food for you and for them.”

Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.

Necessary Preparations

Do you see that whatever that God does, He arranges them in sequence, as Himself wants, and not as your fellow human being wants. It did not start to rain immediately or suddenly, at the time of Noah. Instead, Noah was making all necessary preparations, gathering all the relevant materials.

The way bible authors wrote the bible is not good, because they mixed up the records, removed some and took away some writings. When God first brought down His word, you have to be very clean, pure and holy, before you can touch it. But, the bible authors messed up; they mixed up the writings.

Necessary Inquiry

Noah built the ark very well, in the way that God wanted. In every preparation made, work done or step taken, Noah consulted God, to ascertain about materials, which ones to use or not.

Evangelism

Noah travelled to different nations, on evangelism, telling the nations about what God said. It was all the nations of the world that were called then, to build the ark. Many, various nations, were visited, and given the message of the coming flood and the gospel of salvation by the ark. They were told that God said that He will use flood to wipe out the creatures on this earth. They were asked to come and join Noah in partaking of God’s grace and salvation. Nobody listened to Noah, just as it is in the present time.

Noah went to people of various languages. He travelled to diverse nations, spreading the gospel of the good message.

Noah spent time to travel to various nations, which nations God had revealed to him and told him to visit, in order to make sure that no soul was lost. But, people chose to do their own will, and refused to comply with Noah.

Tremendous Works And Perseverance

Do you know how many years it took Noah to build a very mighty ark?

Which ark many people supposed to have built?

Count the measurements.

How many poles measure 15 cubits, in length?

One hundred poles do not equal to it. A thousand poles do not suffice.

Mockery

Have any of you lived up to six hundred years? Nobody.

Noah started at the age of six hundred years to begin the work of building the ark. That was when he started to give various teachings. People were laughing at him.

Noah would go to people and ask for trees to be cut, for wood in building the ark, and the people would ask him, “Who is God the Father?”

Do you not know that Noah suffered all these mockery, neglect and hindrances?

The reason why I spent time to present all these facts in sequence is because that is all that were done to Noah, what he suffered, and Noah was crying to God, shedding tears. The mockery that was meted out to him, if you do the same to one person today, he will run away. Despite all the mockery, Noah was steadfast in building the ark, until he completed the work.

The Flood

Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation. Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and his mate; and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate; and seven pairs of the birds of the air also, male and female, to keep their kind alive upon the face of all the earth. For in seven days I will send rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.” And Noah did all that the Lord had commanded him.

Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him went into the ark, to escape the waters of the flood. Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground, two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah. And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened. And rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights. On the very same day Noah and his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered the ark, they and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle according to their kinds, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth according to its kind, every bird according to its kind, every bird of every sort. They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life. And they that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.

The fountains means the sources of waters. Great deep refers to the great depth drilled by water borehole companies, to provide water from beneath the surface of the ground.

Compliance By Noah’s Sons And Their Wives

Why were the wives of the sons of Noah mentioned in the bible? Why were they allowed into the ark?

The sons of Noah and their wives did work and fought battles. They brought glory to the name of God. That was why they were among those who entered the ark.

All the time about which I was giving you people this teaching, I mean the time of Noah’s evangelism and the time of building the ark, his sons and their wives contributed to the work of building the ark. They went to several nations on evangelism, telling peoples what God said.

Do you think that his children were just sitting down idle, watching? They were giving people various teachings, asking people to join Noah’s family. Telling people that it was God the Father who gave the revelation, for humanity then to build the ark, but nobody listened to them.

Judgment Of Animals

I have told you that the animals that do well, by earnest efforts, have their seats in heaven. Do you know that animals have judge and lawyers?

Whichever animal that does well, God Almighty will take the animal. God is always using them to perform great exploits. God gave them wisdom, and placed them in various nations and gave them wisdom, even so to great extents.

More Than Forty Days And Forty Nights

If a heavy rain were to fall now, will you be able to come outside the house? No.

But, in Noah’s case, it rained forty days and forty nights, yet the ark was not moved at all.

The flood continued forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. The waters prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters. And the waters prevailed so mightily upon the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered; the waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits deep … And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.

An End Time Sweeping Operations

And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, birds, cattle, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm upon the earth, and every man; everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died. He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those that were with him in the ark.

The reason why God wiped out the generations of Noah was because they were not following the footstep of God, as God wanted. They did not obey the word of God; they did not do what God said, not even in the least. Therefore, God used the great flood to wipe them out.

Many of the Noah’s generations were eating and drinking, they were dining and winning. All the time preparations were being made against the coming of the great flood, none of them wanted to know – they were less concerned.
